History

Old Camberwell have been in existence for 59 years as the club was founded in 1960 as an ‘old boys’ club for former students of Camberwell Grammar.

Over that time Old Camberwell football club have had a reasonable amount of success throughout the VAFA.

In those years Old Camberwell have played across many of the different divisions of the VAFA (Although the men’s team have never played in premier division.). The highest division the men’s team have played in Premier B.

The last men’s team premiership came in 2007.

Old Camberwell took the historic step of fielding a women’s team for the first time in 2017. Due to the demand in the area for women’s football. The team was an immediate success as they won the premiership in their first year of competing in 2017.

Old Camberwell have also been very successful in Thirds and in the underage competition of the VAFA
